MATERIALS
25 g Isager Soft Fine in colour 28
or
50 g Isager Alpaca 2 in colour 7s

MEASUREMENTS
Length: 120 cm (47¼ inches)
Width: approx. 15 cm (6 inches) at the center

GAUGE
Garter stitch on a 4 mm (US6) needle:
10 cm (4 inches) = 18 sts
10 cm (4 inches) = 36 rows

NEEDLES
4 mm (US6) (Isager Soft Fine version)
3 mm (US2.5) (Isager Alpaca 2 version)

CONSTRUCTION
First the ’body’ of the scarf is knitted, working back and forth with short rows. Then stitches are bound off at the beginning of the scarf for the first knot, then a lace edge is knitted sideways onto the scarf so that the last stitch of the lace edge is knitted together with a stitch from the ’body’ of the scarf on every right-side row. At the end, stitches are bound off at the end of the scarf for the second knot.
